What To Expect

As a new client of our [Animal Hospital / Veterinary Hospital] in [Location], you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.

We are currently providing curbside services only ,for your safety and the safety of our staff.

When you arrive for your appointment call 925-384-2662 to check in or text 925-384-2662.  You will be greeted warmly, and we will take some information about your visit, including the phone number of the person in the vehicle and the vehicle description.

One of our veterinary technicians will start by calling and asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.

In order to maintain 6 foot social distancing please have your pet in the back seat  of your vehicle. If you do not have a back seat we ask that you step out of the vehicle as our staff approaches and remain on the opposite side of your car from our staff. We can not take your pet directly from you while maintaining a safe 6 foot distance. Nor can we take a leash directly from you.

Our caring staff will pick up your precious cargo from the back seat and bring them in to the hospital for an examination. Please remain in your vehicle in the parking lot. We will need you to sign an agreed upon diagnostic or treatment plan authorizing us to treat your pet before we can begin. If you leave the parking lot without signing a treatment plan this will delay treatment as we will be unable to proceed until you return.

Our veterinarian will examine your pet, and then call you, and possibly ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once a plan has been decided, a treatment/diagnostic plan will be printed out and placed at the top the walkway on the porch for you to sign, authorizing us to treat your pet. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan or further diagnostics as warranted.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Our veterinary technician will likely call you back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment over the phone and schedule any needed follow up. Our veterinary technician will then return your pet to the back seat of your vehicle, along with any medications. 

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays.During curbside services expect longer than normal wait times .  We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
